The Ghana Energy Awards (GEA), since its inception by the Energy Media Group in 2017, has focused on recognising and awarding excellence in the energy sector.

Each year, the Awards Scheme seeks to drive healthy competition and constant innovation among sector players. The Awards initiative has been responsive to the industry’s needs, and being fortunate to witness the sector’s growth and resilience over the last half decade, the Ghana Energy Awards has built a brand that ensures continued interest from the energy sector; a unique relationship made manifest by virtue of our choice of themes, award categories, sector engagement activities and our increasing catalogue of value addition programmes.

• Energy Personalities Outreach Programme (EPOP)

Our flagship Energy Personalities Outreach Programme, popularly called EPOP, takes the apex award winners at the Ghana Energy Awards to second-cycle educational institutions to interact with students and stimulate young minds. They inspire the next generation of leaders about the prospects of careers in the sector and share their years of acquired knowledge, an opportunity which perhaps would have been hard to come by for most of these students. The programme’s previous engagements include Achimota Senior High School, West Africa Senior High School, St. Mary’s Senior High School and Nungua Senior High School.
